Attractions and sightseeing places in Halong bay

						A UNESCO World Heritage
Site and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, Ha Long
Bay has made it far in the travel and tourism industry.
Boasting its million years old limestone formations and
friendly locals, this place contributes to the huge
						development of Vietnams economic rise.

Visiting Ha Long Bay should be in every persons bucket
list. Rich in history, culture, and traditions, the
region of Ha Long has long proved that its charm and
beauty can offer tons of opportunities for all locals
and visitors. Whether you go on a cruise or see the
beauty from the top of a hotel, you will surely have an
amazing time in this natural world heritage.

Ha Long Bay spread on an area of around 1,553 km2,
including 1,969 islets, most of which are limestone
topped with thick jungle vegetation, rising
spectacularly from the ocean. The core of the bay has an
area of 334 km2 with a high density of 775 islets. The
limestone in this bay has gone through 500 million years
of karst process in different conditions and
environments before reaching its current state.

The karst landscape of Ha Long Bay is of international
significance and of fundamental importance to the
science of geomorphology. There are 2 types of karst
landscape, they are the Fengcong karst (islets in group
and in cone shape) and the Fenglin karst (independent
islets and in tower shape). The Fengling karst, which is
the type present in much of Ha Long Bay, is the most
extreme form of limestone landscape development. If
these karst landscapes are broadly compared in terms of
their height, steepness and number of their limestone
towers to assess the value of geomorphology, Ha Long Bay
is probably second in the entire world only to Yangshou,
in China. The diversity of caves in Ha Long Bay is also
notable with dozens of caves classified in 3 types, each
types have its own characters and distinct beauty.
