The People's Committee of Quang Ninh province has issued
a plan on tourism product development in Quang Ninh
province in 2024. It requires focusing on developing new
diverse, unique and competitive tourism products with
high competition, especially high-end resort tourism
products associated with promoting the values of
nature, people, culture of Quang Ninh, the World Natural
Wonders of Halong Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay and other
outstanding tourism resources of the province. The focus
is on expanding the tourism space in the areas of Bai Tu
Long Bay, Van Don, Co To and some islands in the
province. Quang Ninh province's perspective in building
new tourism products is to focus on developing diverse
and unique products, especially high-end resort tourism
products associated with increasing the ability to
access a variety of tourist streams, building a
destination brand "4-season wonder".
According to the plan, Quang Ninh will put into
operation 62 new products to serve tourists. Including
11 products exploiting the advantages of Halong Bay and
Bai Tu Long Bay areas. Typical examples include a day
living as a fisherman in Vung Vieng fishing village,
traditional dragon boat racing on Halong Bay, relaxing
swimming and organizing beach services on natural sand
beaches, and combined restaurant cruises on Halong
Bay... Especially the sightseeing and accommodation
tourism products connecting Halong Bay - Bai Tu Long Bay
have received a lot of attention from tourism
businesses, local people and visitors.
Most recently, at the end of May 2024, Quang Ninh
launched a "Heritage Journey" cruise program connecting
Halong and Bai Tu Long bays. This is also the first
tourism product connecting two famous bays of Quang Ninh
province, contributing to expanding the local island
tourism space, reducing the load on the core heritage
area of Halong Bay. At the same time, awaken the
potential and promote the value of Bai Tu Long Bay.
The Halong Bay Management Board has proposed 10 tourism
and service products and the Quang Ninh Department of
Tourism has also proposed 2 new itineraries to visit and
travel on Halong Bay, 6 new itineraries connecting
Halong Bay - Bai Tu Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay alone.
The Department also proposed 6 guided tours in Van Don
district and Bai Tu Long National Park.
In order for these products to come into operation soon,
the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province has
assigned the Department of Tourism to preside and
coordinate with the Halong Bay Management Board, the
Department of Transport, the People's Committee of Cam
Pha City, the People's Committee of Van Don District,
and the Management of Bai Tu Long National Park advises
the Provincial People's Committee to announce the tours
to Halong Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay and other itineraries
connecting Halong Bay - Bai Tu Long Bay to develop
tourism products, expanding tourism space, attracting
investment...
With the development of Halong Bay - Bai Tu Long Bay
tourism products, Quang Ninh hopes to maximize the
advantages of landscape and culture, promote the value
of heritage, thereby continuing to create attraction,
especially with domestic and foreign tourists.
Halong bay is the most famous tourst destination in Vietnam with more than 1,969
islands.
