Day 1: HANOI ??? GOT
HARBOUR ??? TRUNG TRANG CAVE ??? TRA BAU - LAN HA BAY (Lunch and dinner included)
09:10 The driver and bus will arrive at your hotel in
the Old Quarter of Hanoi. From here, we will take the
drive eastwards, arriving at Got Harbour at about 11:30.
Enjoy a welcome tea at the Peony Lounge here.
12:15 We board the Peony Cruise for the first time.
Receive another welcome drink and explore the ship???s
fantastic features.
13:00 Once you have checked into your luxury cabin, head
to the restaurant for your first delicious meal of the
trip, a buffet lunch comprised of international fare.
The area outside the window glides past as we dine,
revealing the first of Lan Ha Bay???s magnificent
limestone towers and the calm waters over which we
skate.
15:00 After a few hours of cruising and a highly scenic
bus transfer, we arrive at Trung Trang Cave on Cat Ba
Island, by far the largest island in the entire Halong
Bay area. Once arrived, we ascend the stairs and have a
look around the fascinating karst cavern, finding
exquisite examples of rock formations carved over tens
of thousands of years.
17:00 Back aboard the Peony Cruise, we sail over to the
area of Tra Bau, located on the mountainous border with
Cat Ba Island. Here, we will be able to enjoy the
quietness of an area that is rarely visited on Lan Ha
Bay cruises, using our time to kayak and swim around
placid waters in the shadows of statuesque limestone
towers.
17:45 We re-join the Peony Cruise for the last time
today and prepare ourselves for a magical sunset. During
this time, our chef will give us a demonstration on
Vietnamese cooking techniques through a cooking class.
Happy hour accompanies this at the bar while the sun
makes its slow descent beyond the tree-topped mountains.

19:30 We have a beautiful, candlelit dinner to carry us
through to the evening, served in the beautiful dining
room as the stars sparkle outside.
21:30 You have a choice of evening entertainment after
this. Try some squid fishing from the tender boat or
join us for movie night in the restaurant.
Day 2: LAN HA BAY ??? VIET HAI VILLAGE ??? LAN HA
BAY (Breakfast,
lunch and dinner
included)
06:15 Rise early this morning in order to join us for a
tai chi session on the top deck of the Peony Cruise.
Breakfast is served shortly after this as we gaze out of
the dining room windows into the beautiful morning light
of the bay.
08:30 We board the day boat after this and head straight
back to Cat Ba Island, this time docking at Viet Hai
village on the island???s remote eastern part. We will
take the time here to talk with the locals of the
village and see their idyllic life lived in beautiful
huts amongst rice paddies. We will climb onto bicycles
and enjoy the surrounding area of Viet Hai, through
jungles and around caves.
For passengers who don???t want to cycle, there is the
option of an electric car service for a small additional
fee.
13:00 After this, we return to the day boat, enjoying a
fabulous lunch and continuing around the quiet areas of
the bay, finding spaces to swim in total peace.
15:00 The Peony Cruise will welcome us back on board
after this, where we finish the afternoon of cruising on
the sundeck. Another cooking class and happy hour at the
bar will provide the activities ahead of the perfect red
sunset over Lan Ha Bay.

19:30 Another delicious local dinner is served in the
magical and romantic evening atmosphere that daily
envelops Lan Ha Bay.
21:30 Your choices of evening entertainment include
squid fishing, watching movies, heading to the bar or
retiring early to your cabin to enjoy the peace of this
wonderful location.
Day 3: LAN HA BAY ??? DARK & BRIGHT CAVES ??? GOT
HARBOUR ??? HANOI (Breakfast and lunch
included)
06:15 Start your day the right way again and enjoy the
perfect sunrise with an accompanying beginners??? tai chi
session. Once again, breakfast is served in the dining
room down below.
07:45 We head over to the Dark & Bright Caves after
breakfast, where the beauty of Lan Ha Bay is at its most
tranquil. In kayaks, we head through the short corridor
of water comprising the Bright Cave, emerging in an
enchanting lake with tall rock cliffs surrounding us.
Enjoy the peace here on the glistening surface of the
water.
09:30 We return to the Peony Cruise for the final time
and begin to check out.
10:00 Enjoy a delicious brunch in the restaurant, which
will fill you up for the journey back to Hanoi.
10:30 During the onboard tea ceremony we hold after
this, we enjoy the flavours of Vietnamese tea and the
deep traditions tied to it.
11:35 Back at Got Harbour, we disembark the Peony Cruise
and return to Hanoi on the bus.
14:00 In Hanoi, we end your time with the Peony Cruise
by dropping you off at your hotel. End of the trip.
