With efforts to build Ha Long City as a year-round
tourist destination, many new tourism products will be
put into operation in the near future.

In 2025, Ha Long City aims to attract 11.5 million
visitors, including 3 million international visitors. To
achieve this goal, the city is focusing on launching new
tourism products. Many of these products promise to
bring about an "explosion", affirming Ha Long's position
and role on the domestic and international tourism map.
In the last days of the year, at Bai Chay walking
street, Korean street (K-Street) is being accelerated by
Sun Travel Company (Korea) to soon come into operation
in March 2025. This will be a meeting place to bring
people and tourists unique experiences of Korean style
and culture in Ha Long city.
To form the neighborhood, Sun Travel Company rented an
entire street with about 56 shophouses from Sun Group
Corporation. Up to now, 27 booths have been invested,
Sun Travel Company is continuing to renovate the
functional items of the shophouses, designed in a bold
Korean style and suitable for each brand.
Many activities will take place at the Korean Street
with the active support of the Korean Embassy in
Vietnam, the Korean Cultural Center and the authorities
of some Korean localities such as: the Vietnam - Korea
Friendship Street event held annually; the Korean
product fair held quarterly; festivals and fairs of
Korean regional specialties held monthly. In addition,
many diverse cultural events and activities will be held
to develop the Korean Street in Ha Long into a bustling
and unique tourist street in the country and the region.
In 2024, the city has put 8/14 products into operation
to serve tourists: Lighthouse entertainment complex;
restaurant cruise combined with wedding on Ha Long Bay;
some luxury accommodation cruises; "Old Memories"
market; Kim Cuong entertainment complex (Tuan Chau);
community tourism model; Bai Chay walking and culinary
street. In addition, the city has created conditions and
encouraged organizations and individuals to invest and
build new products such as: VuiFest walking and culinary
street; expanding the "Memory Market" tourism product to
Ha Long International Passenger Port... In addition,
some accommodation ships and restaurant ships have come
into operation, meeting the needs of a large number of
tourists. For the spiritual tourism product "King Le
Thai To Temple", after 3 months of urgent construction,
in mid-January, Ha Long City held a ceremony to raise
the roof of the front house and receive donations for
the construction and restoration of the temple.
In 2025, the city will continue to accelerate the
construction and put into operation 6 unfinished tourism
products of 2024. For "Ha Long Flower Park Walking
Street", the city is continuing to research and plan,
attract investment in management and exploitation. At
the same time, renovate the entire park, divide the
utility areas such as: Coffee, cuisine, areas for
organizing collective activities; grow seasonal flowers.
With the products "Nostalgic tourist destination of the
ferry waiting room and Bai Chay ferry route" and
"Walking street combined with night economy in the area
of the Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace
and Tran Quoc Nghien street" (from the Provincial
Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace to Vinhome Urban
Area), the city directed units to connect with a number
of tourism businesses, consulting units with survey
experience, and at the same time provide data and
information to serve the construction of the Project
according to the city's orientation.
The "Check-in point on Dang Ba Hat street and Dang Ba
Hat hill", "The relic cluster of Bai Tho mountain
cultural area, Duc Ong Tran Quoc Nghien temple and Long
Tien pagoda" have been approved for investment policy
and are in the process of submitting the project
appraisal to the central ministries and branches.
Particularly for the Yen Lap lake - Loi Am pagoda scenic
relic, the city directed units to dismantle souvenir
shops and snack shops along both sides of the road to
create an airy and clean landscape to serve tourists and
people going to the pagoda. At the same time, prepare a
dossier to request competent authorities to urgently
repair some degraded items.
In 2025, the city will also introduce three new tourism
products: Hot air balloon (fixed anchor) sightseeing;
sightseeing cruise on the Bay (from Bai Chay to Hon Gai
and vice versa); experience eating and drinking on the
bus combined with sightseeing of the city. These are all
products that have been tested by the city and are
expected to be officially put into operation soon.
According to Ha Long City People's Committee, closely
following the orientation of heritage economic
development, the city will focus on preserving and
promoting the outstanding, globally outstanding values
of Ha Long Bay, as well as developing sustainable
cultural heritage tourism. In the immediate future, the
city will continue to develop the night-time economy,
planning separate night-time economic development areas
from residential areas; developing high-value services
and improving the quality of services for domestic and
international tourists at Tuan Chau International
Passenger Port, Ha Long International Passenger Port...
At the same time, encourage businesses to invest in
developing quality tourism and connecting tourist routes
to promote the city's outstanding tourism resources;
build tourism products with their own identity. In
particular, preserving and restoring cultural identity
in costumes, languages, festivals, customs and unique
cultural activities of ethnic groups in the area to
create highlights and differences in tourism products.
The city will also vigorously implement projects on
building Ha Long into a "City of Flowers" and a "City of
Festivals". Prioritize the development of new, unique,
highly competitive tourism products and services,
especially cultural and entertainment industry products
(live shows, music); night-time sightseeing products
along the coast of Ha Long Bay. Along with that, invest
in completing the infrastructure of auxiliary works
serving tourism and services, especially toilets, public
parking lots, means of transport in the inner city,
connecting tourist areas and spots; exploit new dynamic
traffic routes to put into use, attract investment and
develop diverse, unique and highly competitive tourism
types and products, suitable for each tourist market
segment, improve affordability and extend the length of
stay of visitors, limit seasonality and increase
sustainability for city tourism.
