A combination of the rugged charm of Ha Giang with
the ethereal allure of Halong Bay, two of the most
stunning parts of Northern Vietnam. The 5 day trip takes
you to the rugged mountainous terrain of Ha Giang
province, where you can explore the ethnic cultures and
traditions of the local people, and soak in the stunning
scenery of towering limestone peaks and deep valleys.
The journey continues to the world-famous Ha Long Bay,
where you’ll sail on a traditional junk boat and marvel
at the spectacular landscape of emerald waters, towering
karst formations, and hidden caves. The trip also
includes visits to charming fishing villages, stunning
beaches, and delicious seafood feasts. In summary, the

ITINERARY
Day 1 Halong Bay Cruise, overnight on board
 This morning we take a 3 hour drive to Halong Bay. On
arrival we board our deluxe junk, this traditional
wooden sailing junk boat offers a unique way of
navigating the limestone karsts of Halong Bay with all
the comforts of a motorised, floating hotel. Once
settled in, you start your cruise round the majestic
Halong Bay, while enjoying a delicious lunch. After
lunch you have the chance to explore some of the
limestone caves dotted around the bay. Then, the captain
will find a secluded spot where you can swim in the
clear water of the bay, soak up the sun on the top deck.
In the evening the cook prepares a sumptuous meal as the
boat weighs anchor in the heart of the bay.

Day 2 Halong Bay Cruise - Overnight sleeper bus
to Ha Giang
 Rising to the tranquil beauty of the bay we have time
for an early morning dip or enjoy a morning view of the
Bay's landcapes with a cup of tea. The boat keeps
cruising to float fishing village for you to have a look
of local people lives on water. We enjoy brunch on board
and around midday we will return to the main harbor
before transferring to our awaiting vehicle for your
journey back to Hanoi. We should be back in Hanoi at
around 4 pm.
In the evening we jump in our deluxe sleeper bus to Ha
Giang.

Day 3 Ha Giang - Quan Ba - Yen Minh - Dong Van
 The
bus arrives in Ha Giang town about 3.00 am we check in
the hotel for a shower, rest in a few hours.
After
breakfast our guide picks you up from hotel, we leave Ha
Giang for Dong Van via Quan Ba and Yen Minh. Just after
leaving Ha Giang town you will see a big change in the
scenery when you drive into the mountains before the
town of Tam Son. We will cross Bac Sum Pass and go up
the Heaven Gate to enjoy the twin mountains and the
whole view of Tam Son town. The drive will continue
towards the town of Yen Minh, where you can enjoy
delicious lunch. After we will drive towards Dong Van,
through picturesque Chin Khoanh pass. The whole Dong Van
Karst Plateau is a major geoheritage sight in Vietnam.
You will see unending rice fields, thousands of
limestone rocks and breath-taking views. You can observe
life of hill-tribe villages where local people works on
the land.. Few kilometers before the Dong Van Town, we
will stop in Hmong King’s Palace, a home for Vuong’s
family in Sa Phin. We will arrive to Dong Van late
afternoon, just in time to enjoy a good dinner after a
long day full of adventures. On the evening you can
explore the town and relax before the next eventful day.

Day 4 Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Meo Vac - Du
Gia
 After
breakfast we leave Dong Van to enter the most beautiful
part of the whole journey, located on the Happiness road
connecting the towns of Dong Van and Meo Vac, Ma Pi Leng
Pass. The legendary pass is well known for craggy cliffs
and breath-taking views. It is the most ragged pass in
the north, often referred to as the “king” of the passes
in Vietnam! The whole road is winding through the cliffs
and overcomes Ma Pi Leng pass at an altitude of 2,000
meters.
To show you the full beauty of the pass, we will trek
the breathtaking Sky Path to admire the scenery of the
whole valley and Nho Que river. From the amazing
mountain viewpoint you will be able to experience a 360°
panorama of Ma Pi Leng Pass and take unforgottable
pictures. Standing on the peak of the pass, you will
feel overwhelmed by the majestic space of mountains and
rivers.
We will continue our journey to more distant villages.
From there, you will know how people live in remote
parts of Vietnam. We will drive through the villages of
Lung Ho, Mau Due and Meo Vac, where we will have a pit
stop for a lunch and drink. From Meo Vac Town we will
continue through mountainous rural area of Ha Giang
province to Du Gia town, where we will spend a night in
a homestay located in the middle of dreamly green rice
field.

Day 5 Du Gia - Duong Thuong village - Lung Khuy
Cave - Ha Giang city - Hanoi
 On the third day of your journey we will take the road
back to Ha Giang. Some people say it looks like fairy’s
breasts! After crossing Sky Gate we will be back to Bac
Sum pass. After adventure ride we will be back in Ha
Giang afternoon. We hop into a comfort limousine van to
return to Hanoi. We arrive in Hanoi in the late evening
(about 21.00). Drop off at hotel. Tour ends.
